tjg. theater junge generation
Since the 2014/15 winter semester, there has been a cooperation with the theater academy of the tjg. theater junge generation.
In jointly conceived seminars, the aesthetic-theatrical realization of children's and youth productions is accompanied and examined. This also involves the development and testing of suitable theater pedagogical materials to accompany selected theater productions. In terms of aesthetic education and experience, production, reception and communication are to be linked together.
In the 2014/15 winter semester, the focus was on the production Elfrid, Mila and the Wish List Miracle , based on a novel by Swedish author Pernilla Oljelund. The text was read, examined, performed with scenic exercises and interpreted as part of the seminar.
Rehearsal visits to the tjg. gave the students an insight into the process of aesthetic-theatrical development. Finally, the seminar participants attended a performance and reflected on the production in relation to the original text.
In the 2016/17 winter semester, this collaboration will be continued with the production of the tjg. puppet theater The Boy with the Suitcase by Mike Kenny. The text will be approached using theater pedagogical methods and then accompanying material will be developed and tested together with the tjg. theater academy.
Other important topics include theatrical formal language and academic and didactic approaches to theater reception. Scenic exercises, rehearsal visits and a joint visit to the premiere combine theoretical work with practical implementation.
In addition, visits to the theater, puppet theater and theater academy of the tjg. theater junge generation are part of other seminars in German didactics. There is an intensive exchange on theater pedagogical topics and current productions.
