The Institute
The Institute of Education is part of the Faculty of Education at TU Dresden. Teacher training students of the study programs for high school, middle school and elementary school undergo the modules of educational science at the institute.
Eleven Chairs with a total of about 20 academic employees and 4 administrative offices provide the institute with professorships in general didactics, empirical classroom research, educational science with a focus on inclusive education, quantitative methods, elementary school pedagogy for German, mathematics, and subject matter; media pedagogy, systematic educational science, and school pedagogy: school research.
The Institute is dedicated to researching and communicating pedagogical action, pedagogical phenomena and pedagogical theories primarily in the institution of school, and all issues of education in the broader sense.
