Open doors at the University School Dresden

On Thursday, January 21, 2027, the Dresden University School invites you to an Open House at Cämmerswalder Straße 41.

Both in the old building and in the mobile classroom units, the leraning groups will present their exciting and impressive project results. Experiments will be demonstrated in the lab. The school library will be open for visitors to browse and explore. The Friends of the University School Association (FVUS.org) and the Parent Council will be on hand to introduce themselves and answer questions. The University School Research Unit (ForUS) at TU Dresden will also be present to provide information about the accompanying research.

The school’s educational concept will be presented in talks. Guests can ask questions about the University Community School, such as the work done at the various grade levels, career guidance, and the "youth school", as well as about the role of learning support staff at the University Community School.

Who is invited?

Anyone interested in the University Community School—parents, grandparents, school-age children, and siblings... But teachers who would like to learn about the concept can also talk with our educators there, as can early childhood educators and, of course, student teachers and future volunteers.

About the University School Dresden

Dresden University School is a joint project of the state capital of Dresden and the TUD Dresden University of Technology. It is a public and free community school run by the city, where innovative forms of teaching and learning are tested under academic supervision. In addition, it is a training school for future teachers and, in the future, a further education school for teachers. The school trial is being scientifically supported by the ForUS research center at TU Dresden.
