Sale of the Marienthal Psalter

FOVOG looks with consternation and concern at the threatened sale of the Marienthal Psalter, a splendid 13th century manuscript, as well as other manuscripts by the Cistercian nunnery of St. Marienthal Abbey in Saxon Upper Lusatia.

The loss of the Psalter and the other manuscripts would be an immense loss and would counteract all efforts for the preservation of cultural heritage.

FOVOG joins in calling on Saxon politicians to preserve the old collection of the St. Marienthal Abbey library from dispersion and sale.
