Research colloquium (summer semester 2026)
In the summer term of 2026, the Research Center for Comparative History of Religious Orders (FOVOG) is once again hosting a colloquium in Dresden. Scholars from Germany, the Czech Republic, and the United States will discuss their current research on the history of religious orders in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern period—ranging from hagiographical questions to reform movements and monastic renewal. In addition to two individual presentations, there will be two thematic clusters with multiple speakers, allowing them to engage in discussion with one another.
The colloquium sessions will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the library of FOVOG, Budapester Straße 34b. Participation via Zoom is possible upon registration.
