New FOVOG partner project at the SLUB and Leipzig University Library

SLUB Dresden and Leipzig University Library launch a new project Die Klosterbibliothek von St. Marienthal als Kosmos von Netzwerken und Beziehungen. They are cooperating closely with FOVOG, where an accompanying project to reappraise Cistercian networks using archive materials and internal documents from the order has been underway since November 2024 with funding from the Free State of Bavaria. The simultaneous research of book and archive collections is a novelty: for the first time, the history of monasteries in Germany is being examined from such a comprehensive perspective.
