You would like to invite internationally renowned scientists to TU Dresden for a guest lectureship or a cooperation? Or are you planning a teaching or research stay, a conference trip or further education abroad yourself? The following overview shows you a variety of programs and possibilities.
1. From Abroad |Incoming
The Dresden Fellowship Program focuses on inviting international scientists for joint research and teaching to TU Dresden.
The programs Dresden Junior Fellows and Dresden Senior Fellows offer fundings to young as well as established scientists within a period of three to six months. With these programs TU Dresden wants to attract gifted scientists on senior- and early-career-level. The program's goal is to strengthen cooperations and to initiate long-term, strategic project proposals with bodies and working groups of TU Dresden and their DRESDEN-concept-partners.
Eligible to apply: Institute directors or incorporating chairs
Application deadlines: Nominations for DRESDEN Fellows can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
The Eleonore-Trefftz-Program enables alternating guest stays for scientists at TU Dresden who represent their subject independently in teaching and research at the respective faculty. Visiting professors can research and teach at TU Dresden for three to 12 months. Both scientists who hold a professorship and junior professors who are at least at an advanced stage in the postdoc phase can receive a guest professorship.
The program serves to promote female careers on the way to professorship. Visiting professors are also role models for a scientific career for female students and researchers in the qualification phase from those subjects in which few or no female professors have been represented.
Eligible to appy: all faculties and scientific bodies with right of appointment
Application deadlines: April 15, 2021
As part of the excellence strategy of the federal and state governments, TU Dresden promotes the acquisition of excellent scientists as an active recruiting instrument with GET TU KNOW in the sense of a positive welcoming strategy for all faculties. The measure is intended to help TU Dresden to find and win passionate scientists who shape their scientific field with excellent research.
One component of this measure is the invitation of potential (international) applicants in the context of symposia, conferences and colloquia in the run-up to professorial vacancies, a second the support of applicants during the personal introductions in the process. GET TU KNOW is to be used in selected tenders by the faculties and central scientific bodies with the right of appointment as a strategic tool in order to expand the pool of highly qualified talents who, due to their profile, have a real chance in the appointment process.
Eligible to apply: all faculties and scientific bodies with right of appointment at TU Dresden
