A fundamental goal of these projects is to function as a hinge between research and application. Scientists cooperate on an international basis funded by renowned international clients.
Several professorships at the Institute for Vocational Education develop Policy Recommendations in General, Higher, Vocational and Professional Education in the context of mostly international research assignments or research networks.
Several professorships at the Institute for Vocational Education are leading the development of curricula for (vocational) teacher education worldwide. In some cases, joint postgraduate study programmes are implemented.
This international activity is based on the following points, among others:

International clients such as the EU, the GIZ and authorities in the target countries finance these activities in Asia (including Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand); other European partners are represented in the networks.

Research and study visits for management personnel from universities and ministries at the TU Dresden complete the offer and ensure a remarkable reputation.

Some of the partner universities are in top positions in national rankings. From postgraduates and academic staff through to professors thus find their way to TU Dresden.
