About the Institute
The study of theology is traditionally one of the most diverse study programs at the university. This is not only due to the fact that theology—together with medicine and jurisprudence—originally formed the university in the Middle Ages, but also to the so-called humanistic educational ideal that is still alive in theology.
Theology in Dresden pursues this ideal through close interdisciplinary contact with other subjects. It examines Christianity first and foremost as an essential element of Western culture.
On the following pages you will find out what you can study with us, what we are researching and what is important to us. We look forward to meeting you!
