Dissertationsprojekt von Laura Christina Buchheim
Dissertation project supervised at the Ruhr University Bochum - the project is supported by a scholarship from the Ev. Studienwerk Villigst.
Brief overview:
The Anthropocene is an expression of our anthropocentric relationship to everything that is other than human. So what can an ecotheological ethics look like that respects the other as other, thinks responsibility not as a decision but as a constitutive subject and understands the imago Dei not as an exaggeration but as a basic ethical structure? I would like to address these questions in a theological dialog with the philosopher Emmanuel Lévinas in the project "Anthropocentric Alterity. Ecotheological ethics in the Anthropocene with Emmanuel Lévinas".
