From 12 to 14 September 2024, Marienstatt Abbey will host the workshop "Das Konserveninstitut im Mittelalter", co-organised by PD. Dr Sonntag will be taking place at Marienstatt Abbey from 12 to 14 September 2024.

From 15 to 21 September 2024, the 9th Summer Course for Manuscript Culture will take place at the University Library in Leipzig. The target group is students of medieval-related subjects in the advanced Master's/diploma phase as well as young graduates specialising in medieval studies. The application deadline is 30 April.

Since 2012, an annual meeting of doctoral students and their supervisors in the field of medieval history from the universities of Dresden, Erfurt, Chemnitz, Halle, Jena, Leipzig and Magdeburg has taken place, which is also open to other interested parties. The aim is to get to know each other, gain insights into the work at neighbouring universities and learn from each other.

From 21 to 23 February 2024, the international workshop for young researchers on the topic of "hate", co-organised by PD Dr Jörg Sonntag, will take place in Dresden.
