Study programmes
Teacher training - Lehramt (LA)
TU Dresden offers the following training and degree programmes for prospective religious education teachers:
- Higher teacher training at grammar schools (Höheres Lehramt an Gymnasien) with the subject Catholic Religion and a standard period of study of 10 semesters
- Higher teacher training at vocational training schools (Höheres Lehramt an Berufsbildenden Schulen) with the subject Catholic Religion and a standard period of study of 10 semesters
- Teacher training at secondary schools (Lehramt an Oberschulen) with the subject Catholic Religion and a standard period of study of 9 semesters
- Teacher training at primary schools (Lehramt an Grundschulen) with the subject Catholic Religion and a standard period of study of 8 semesters.
Bachelor in Theology
At the Institute for Catholic Theology, Catholic Theological Studies in an Interdisciplinary Context can be studied in four different ways:
- As core subject Bachelor
- For Bachelor students of another suject as minor subject, major supplementary area EB70
- as minor supplementary area EB35
- as part of the supplementary area Humanities
Master in Theology
At TU Dresden it is not possible to do a Master's degree in Theology, but our Institute offers the following alternative study options for advanced students:
- Master in Classical Studies
- Profile areas of other Master's degree programmes
