Analyseatelier
A format for conversation in which original artworks in Dresden museums (particularly at the Galerie Alte Meister and Albertinum) are studied and discussed. This analysis of artworks, functional deixis, was developed by the Endowed Chair of Philosophy and History of Art. See Die ikonischen Situationen, Funktionale Analyse, Die freie Kunst.
The analysis consists of five steps:
– silent observation and experimentation with illumination
– creating a sketch of the artwork
– formalization
– presentation of the results
– review and revision
Two Analysis Atelier sessions can be viewed in the videos linked below:
-
July 2017:Casper David Friedrich - Tetschener Altar - Albertinum, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden
