New book published: Humans, Robots and Virtual Worlds in the Tactile Internet
The anthology "Humans, Robots and Virtual Worlds in the Tactile Internet" documents the work carried out as part of the CeTI Cluster of Excellence. The book takes a comprehensive look at the so-called "Tactile Internet", which connects physical and digital worlds in real time, thus enabling new forms of interaction between humans and cyber-physical systems. It offers an interdisciplinary perspective on technical foundations and communication infrastructures and their applications in health, industry and education, as well as on key ethical, legal and social issues.
Prof. Kaesling contributed to the publication's chapters on "Work" with a focus on the legal framework conditions of human-centered robotics development, on the chapter "Edutainment" on the legal autonomy of children in VR learning environments, and on the ethical, legal and societal implications of the Tactile Internet.
