Participation in the regional round of the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition

From February 5 to 7, 2025, the Moot Court team from the Chair of International Law, European Union Law and International Relations (Interim Professor Dr. habil. Romy Klimke) successfully participated in the regional round of the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition in Prague. The participants Anna Niessen, Lina Baumann, Maja Finke and Jule Epple prepared intensively for this year's human rights case over several months with the support of Djordje Popovic, Research Associate at the Chair. Following the submission of a written pleading in January, they were now able to represent the positions of the fictitious complainant and the defendant state against other teams. Whether the four students were able to prevail against the other teams and take part in the final round in Strasbourg in May 2025 will be announced in March. The Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition is organized by the European Law Students Association (ELSA). The participation of the Dresden team is supported by funds from TU Dresden's Internationalization Funding Program.
