Prof. Lauber-Rönsberg elected deputy member of the Saxon Constitutional Court
Prof. Dr. Anne Lauber-Rönsberg was elected by the Saxon state parliament as a deputy non-judicial member of the Saxon Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court of the Free State of Saxony, based in Leipzig, consists of five judges who are full-time members of other Courts and four non-judicial judges, i.e. fully qualified lawyers whose professional activities lie primarily in other areas such as legal research and advocacy. The members of the Saxon Constitutional Court as well as the deputies are elected by the state parliament by a two-thirds majority for a term of nine years. A deputy is elected for each member.
