Our Paper on Effective Human Oversight of AI at FAccT 2024

This week, our paper, "On the Quest for Effectiveness in Human Oversight," was presented at the 2024 ACM Conference on Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency (FAccT) in Rio de Janeiro! Co-authored with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, including Prof. Dr. Anne Lauber-Rönsberg and our research assistant Philip Meinel, the paper highlights challenges and solutions for effective human oversight of AI systems and their legal implications for the EU AI Act. This work could be particularly important for the successful implementation of Article 14 of the AI Act. Co-authors Sarah Sterz, Kevin Baum and Philip Meinel presented the paper at the event.
