Democracy and Pluralism: 8th German-South African-Swiss Dialogue on Democracy at the University of Basel

On February 4 and 5, 2027, the 8th Biannual German-South African Dialogue on Democracy will take place on the topic of "Democracy and Pluralism" will take place at the University of Basel, organized in collaboration with TU Dresden, Leuphana University, the University of Basel, the University of the Western Cape, and Stellenbosch University. For the first time in its 15-year history, the dialogue will include three countries—Switzerland, South Africa, and Germany. Prof. Steiger will moderate the session on “Constitutional Elements of Pluralist Power-Sharing” during the conference.
