At the UNESCO Chair in International Relations (2009-2025), Professor Dr. Dr. Sabine von Schorlemer conducted research on current topics of international law and the law of the United Nations.
In April 2009, the UNESCO Chair of International Relations was established, which is affiliated to the Chair of International Law, EU Law and International Relations. It is the world's first Chair of International Relations and one of 11 UNESCO Chairs in Germany. The tasks of the UNESCO Chair include research and teaching on UNESCO-relevant topics, the regular organization of lectures and events as well as networking with other members of the network of over 700 UNESCO Chairs worldwide.
