The utmost concern of the UNESCO Chair in International Relations is to provide research on the implementation of UNESCO conventions and further normative means, particularly in the fields of cultural heritage, diversity of cultural expressions and peaceful dispute settlement.
The primary objective is contributing to raising awareness and access to the worldwide treasure of cultural heritage and cultural diversity in public. In this respect, it is regarded crucial to make the best use of resulting opportunities and to foster networks among affiliated stakeholders in civil society, science and practitioners to provide platforms of exchanging concepts in an interdisciplinary or cross-cutting way.
