PhD
General Information
PhD projects are possible and most appreciated in the context of UNESCO's initiated co-operation between the executive board of the Technische Universität Dresden and the estabished UNESCO Chair in International Relations along with the Research Center United Nations; the Faculty of Law awards the title Dr. iur.
Cross-cutting or interdisciplinary projects are encouraged, in particular, if candidates do not hold a legal degree. Once formally accepted with an alternative degree topics primarily attached to international politics are carefully considered.
Respective details concerning admission and further requirements can be found in the current version of PhD regulations.
Based on individual consultations academic guidance and advice is provided by the chairholder. Acceptance is due to a synopsis including a preliminary outline and an agreed-upon schedule. Topics are issued on the basis of a submitted curriculum vitae through an informal interview. Working languages are German and English.
