Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Institute of Sociology, is seeking to fill the position of Chair of Methods in Empirical Social Research as of 12.10.2026 for a

stud. Assistant (m/f/d)
(4h/week)

until 06.02.2027 (limited funds, funding only for the lecture period). The duration of employment is based on the WissZeitVG and the SächsHSG in conjunction with the TdL guidelines for Student Assistants and Research Assistants of 28.02.2024.

Tasks: Tutor or tutor,

• Head of the tutorial for the bridge course Quantitative Methods
• Contact person for questions and assistance for the Quantitative Methods bridge course

Prerequisites:

• Enrolled student at a higher education institution
• studying in at least the 5th semester
• reliable and independent way of working
• very good/good performance in the field of Methods of Empirical Social Research I and II
• Interest in methods of empirical social research
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
• Knowledge of statistical software (SPPS or STATA), R desirable
