At the Faculty of Arts , Humanities, Humanities and Social Science, the Chair of Methods in Empirical Social Research is seeking to fill the position of a

stud. Assistant (m/f/d)
(5h/week)

until 30.09.2026 (limited funds) is looking for a student. The duration of employment is based on the WissZeitVG and the SächsHSG in conjunction with the Guidelines of the TdL for Student Assistants and Research Assistants of 28.02.2024.

Tasks: Support through scientific assistance activities in the implementation of research and teaching, esp. in

• Literature searches and literature maintenance in Citavi
• Participation in the creation of research and teaching materials
• Support in the field of digital teaching
• Evaluation of data (data entry, data cleansing and maintenance, data analysis)
• Support in the preparation of presentations and publications in English and German.

Prerequisites:

• Enrolled student at a higher education institution
• Very good or good grades in statistics and quantitative research methods
• Experience in using statistical software (e.g. R, SPSS, STATA or Mplus)
• Willingness to learn; very good written and spoken German and English skills; reliability
• Ability to work in a team and independently
