From Global Tensions to Global Justice?

Transformation of relations between the US, the EU, China, and Latin America

The presentation will focus on the contemporary transformation of conflictual global relations between the US, the EU, China, and Latin America. It will analyse social and political problems of injustice, and identify positive tendencies of justice that could eliminate exploitative and repressive relations in macro-regions and the world. It will be based on two new books, the first of which Marek Hrubec authored and the second co-edited and co-authored:

Social and Political Experiments. Latin America in the 21st Century (Leiden and Boston: Brill; August 2025)

The info on the author: Marek Hrubec, PhD., is a philosopher, sociologist, and expert on global studies. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and a Senior Research Fellow in the Global Studies Association of North America (Chicago).
