Ensuring Valid Comparisons of Self-Reports in Hetereogeneous Populations and Marginalised Groups (ENSURE)
At the Chair of Methods in Empirical Social Research, the project 'Ensuring Valid Comparisons of Self-Reports in Hetereogeneous Populations and Marginalised Groups (ENSURE)' will be conducted from November 2019. The project ENSURE is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the framework of the Research Unit 'Refugee migration to Germany: a magnifying glass for broader public health challenges' (PH-LENS). In the ENSURE project, survey instruments (questionnaires and item batteries) are developed or adapted for use in populations of refugees. In addition, methods of questionnaire construction and testing are evaluated in order to improve the comparability of the collected data. The project is scheduled to run for three years and is conducted by the team of the Chair. Two new research associates and a student assistant will be employed to work for the project.
More information on the project ENSURE will follow soon.
