Election Night
The interdisciplinary symposium focuses on the 2024 US presidential election and aims to gain a deeper understanding of the US presidential election and its impact on global political, economic and social dynamics. Through expert presentations and short workshops, various aspects of the presidential election, such as the role of social media in the election campaign, the increasing polarization and the economic ties between Germany and the United States of America, will be examined. On the podium, representatives from politics and business will discuss the implications of the US presidential election and its significance for Europe, Germany and Saxony with academics. The public viewing of the first forecasts and projections, accompanied by live analyses by experts, rounds off the program and enables a direct discussion of the election results.
