Dr. Manuela Beyer
Dr. Manuela Beyer works as postdoc at the BMBF-funded research group REXKLIMA at Hannah-Arendt-Institute for Totalitarianism Studies, TU Dresden. She holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin (2023). After working as a research associate at the cluster of excellence "Languages of Emotion" at Freie Universität Berlin, Manuela taught at the University of Applied Sciences Rhein-Waal in Kleve, at University of Technology Chemnitz and at Martin Luther University Halle.
In her research, Manuela focuses on processes of socio-emotional change, political sociology, qualitative methods as well as sociology of gender and sexuality. Currently she is studying environmental conflicts and their politicization at the local level. Her research has been published in journals such as Current Sociology, Environmental Values, Journal of Bisexuality, and Emotions and Society. Please find a full list of publications here.
