Forschungsworkshop "Ärztin, Patient, Algorithmus" am 23.06.22, 12:45-18:10 Uhr, Hermann-Krone-Bau, Nöthnitzer Straße 61, Raum 1.11
Die Digitalisierung durchzieht heute so gut wie alle Lebensbereiche. Unter den zahlreichen Verschiebungen, Umbrüchen und Weiterentwicklungen, die mit ihr einhergehen, muss die Medizin besonders ins Auge fallen. Chancen wie Risiken digitaler Verfahren bewegen sich hier nicht nur in einem normativ hochsensiblen Umfeld; mit ihnen stellt sich die Frage, wie sich das elementare Verhältnis zwischen Ärztin und Patient in der „digitalen Konstellation“ (Berg/Rakowski/Thiel 2020) reorganisiert.
Der Workshop "Ärztin, Patient, Algorithmus. Digitale Transformationen und medizinische Ethik" diskutiert diese miteinander verschränkten Gesichtspunkte aus verschiedenen disziplinären Blickwinkeln.
Eine erste Sektion widmet sich dem Impakt digitaler Technologien auf die Form der Beziehung zwischen Ärztinnen und Patientinnen. Bereits Diagnose und Anamnese verändern in dieser Hinsicht ihren Charakter und bringen eine Reihe von Design-Fragen mit sich: Welche medizinisch relevanten Daten können, welche sollten mithilfe digitaler Tools erhoben werden? Wer oder was erhebt sie? Wem „gehören“ solche Daten, und was geschieht mit ihnen? Schließlich tritt dabei auch die Beziehung zwischen Patient und Arzt in einen direkteren Zusammenhang zur Forschung und zur medizinischen Produktentwicklung, denn unter digitalen Bedingungen erscheint der Übergang von der Anwendung zur Verfeinerung diagnostischer Kriterien prinzipiell fließend. Grundsätzliche Fragen nach dem Verhältnis zwischen Einzelner und Allgemeinheit, nach Autonomie und Heilungsaussicht erfahren hierdurch neue Ausprägungen, die mit den konkreten Formen digitaler Verfahren korrespondieren: Wie kommen algorithmenbasierte Methoden eigentlich zu ihren Kriterien, und wo könnte eine Grenze derselben liegen? Gibt es im Kontrast dazu so etwas wie ein Proprium menschlicher Diagnostik – etwa in ihrer präsentischen, dialogischen oder urteilenden Dimension? Mit anderen Worten: Wie weit oder bis wohin kann man gehen?
Die zweite Sektion des Workshops greift diese Fragen als Ausgangspunkte einer im engeren Sinn ethischen Perspektivbildung auf: Wie sollte das sich transformierende Verhältnis von Ärztinnen und Patientinnen ausgestaltet werden? Formierungseffekte wie die viel größere Verfügbarkeit von medizinischem Wissen (auf Patientenseite) oder von medizinischen Daten (durch digitalisierte Diagnose und Behandlung) sollen dafür ins Gespräch gebracht werden mit den normativen Intuitionen im Arzt-Patient-Verhältnis und seiner Geschichte. Wie könnten diese auf eine nicht-regressive Weise eingelöst, angepasst und weiterentwickelt werden? Wie kann die Balance in der Beziehung zwischen Forschenden, Behandelnden und Patientinnen in diesem Sinn rekalibriert werden? Und welches Vorgehen (d.h., wo und inwiefern könnte es beispielsweise eher um die Ausbuchstabierung eines Selbstverständnisses, wo möglicherweie um so etwas wie normativ zu setzende Richtlinien gehen) wäre der Sache angemessen?
