80 applications for Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden 2021

Our call for applications for the 2nd artists' residency at the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden ended on 10th of May 2020. Visual artists from the fields of performance, installation, media art (video, sound, etc.) were invited to apply for the Residency 2021.

We are glad about having received a total of 80 applications, including 47 international submissions – e.g. from Argentina, Iran, Iraq, Romania and Singapore. We thank all submitting artists for their inspiring proposals!

The selection committee, consisting of Gerfried Stocker, Artistic Director of Ars Electronica, Linz; Barbara Bergmann, Director of Schauwerk Sindelfingen; Dr. Manuel Frey, Director of the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony; Matthias Flügge, Rector of the Dresden University of the Fine Arts; and Dr. Andreas Handschuh, Chancellor of TU Dresden; Kirsten Vincenz, spokesperson of Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden and Director of the Office for Academic Heritag, TU Dresden, and Gwendolin Kremer, Curatorial Director of the Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden, will announce their decision in mid-June 2020.
