76 applications from 31 countries: the application phase for the Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden 2024 is closed
The application deadline for the second of three artist residencies in the second funding phase of the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden ended on December 1, 2024.
Artists, duos and collectives from the fields of media art, conceptual art, performance, etc. were invited to submit their proposals for artistic research projects on the key theme of "Data↔Worlds. Socio-technical and cultural syntheses of new realities".
We received 76 applications from artists or groups from all over the world, including Sweden, Mexico, Kenya and Korea. We would like to thank all applicants for their promising submissions!
The selection committee - consisting of representatives from the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections; the Artistic Director of Ars Electronica, Linz, Gerfried Stocker; Barbara Bergmann, Director of SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen; Prof. Oliver Kossack, Rector of Dresden University of Fine Arts; Prof. Dr. Manuel Frey, Director of the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony and the Chancellor of TUD, Jan Gerken - will meet later this year and announce its decision in January 2025.
