Interdisciplinary online lecture series on AI of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig
An interdisciplinary online lecture series of the national competence center ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig illuminates current issues in Artificial Intelligence from different perspectives. On 1st July at 11 a.m., the lecture series will start with the topic "Ethics and Moral Code in Artificial Intelligence" and will deal with transparency, privacy and data protection in AI systems. In cooperation with the Chair of Legal and Constitutional Studies with interdisciplinary relations and the Chair of Civil Law, Intellectual Property Law, Media and Data Protection Law, Rita Jordan, Niklas Lange and Franz Lehr will give insights into their research work and will be available for discussion afterwards.
Further lectures by researchers of the competence center on Big Data, Data Analytics, Machine Learning or Modelling of Human-Environment Relationships will follow every first Thursday of the month. The events take place within the framework of the newly emerging Living Labs in Dresden and Leipzig. Meeting and experimentation sites are being set up at both locations, which will also approach the issues in a variety of practical ways. The aim of the Living Labs is to show how Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning algorithms and AI systems are used in our daily lives by means of demonstrators and interactive demonstrations. The interdisciplinary lecture series offers an initial discussion platform on this, which can be attended free of charge and without registration.
