Annual Conference 2024 of the German Applied Linguistics Association in Dresden
The annual conference of the Gesellschaft für Angewandte Linguistik (GAL e.V.) will take place at TU Dresden from September 11-13, 2024. The conference is being organized by Prof. Dr. Simon Meier-Vieracker from the Institute of German Studies and Media Cultures at TU Dresden.
15 sections will meet to discuss current and practice-relevant topics such as AI in translation studies, language acquisition in migration contexts and gender-sensitive language in the media. The program of the sections will be complemented by a keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Theresa Heyd as well as a hands-on forum of the research focus “Digital Infrastructures in Applied Linguistics” with workshops and a project fair. In addition, renowned academic publishers will present their current programs.
