What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR (consent), i.e. the use of and consent to the associated processing of your personal data are voluntary.
What personal data is processed?
In order to be able to contact you specifically as a respondent for future studies, we store your name, your e-mail address and your year of birth as well as information about your gender, your native language and, if applicable, your current language level in German as a foreign or second language.
How long is personal data stored?
We will initially store this contact information for a period of two years. At the end of the two years, you will receive an email from us asking whether we should continue to keep you in our database as a test subject or delete your personal data. If we do not receive a response to this request, your personal data will be irrevocably deleted.
This does not affect the legality of the processing based on the consent until revocation.
Is personal data transmitted to recipients, who at TU Dresden has access to this data and is data collected from third parties?
No personal data is transferred to third parties.
What rights do data subjects have?
- Voluntariness and revocation according to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR
The provision of personal data is voluntary. Consent to the processing of personal data can be revoked at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR with the consequence that the personal data of the person concerned will no longer be processed. - Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects have the right to request information about the personal data processed about them and the possible recipients of this data at any time. They are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request for information. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 GDPR)
Data subjects can request the TU Dresden to rectify, erase or restrict the processing of their personal data at any time. - Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Data subjects may request that the data controller transmit their personal data to them in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, they may request the direct transfer of the personal data provided by you to another responsible person, insofar as this is possible. - Data Protection Officer and supervisory authority for data protection
