Christoph Rosol is researcher at the Chair of Digital Cultures at TU Dresden and affiliated with the Max Planck Institute of Geoanthropology in Jena. For over a decade, he devised and headed the research cluster Anthropocene Formations at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin, while also working as a researcher and curator at Berlin’s Haus der Kulturen der Welt. As a liaison between both institutions, he co-developed a series of transdisciplinary programs, events, and international network projects on the Anthropocene and its twin concept, the technosphere. His research is concerned with the history and epistemology of the Earth (system) sciences, in particular the climate, paleoclimate, ocean and atmospheric sciences, the history of media and computing, and transdisciplinary methods for Anthropocene research.
