Event as part of the Intercultural Days Dresden:
Taster lesson in the language café - 5 languages, 30 minutes - your little trip around the world in the language café
What does Chinese actually sound like? What does Spanish feel like? And how do you say "hello" in French?
You can try it out at our language café on October 1, 2026! Experienced facilitators will take you on a short 30-minute taster course on a journey into German, English, French, Spanish or Chinese. You will learn your first words for a lively introduction to the language or receive new impulses as an advanced learner.
Without pressure - but with curiosity, fun and encounters with people from all over the world.
The event is open to all Dresdeners - students and non-students, international or German citizens, young and old and everyone in between

Preparation Module (VM)
The aim of the preparation module (VM) is to provide intensive German courses for international prospective students with a direct HZB and a language level of B2 to level C1 and to prepare them for a language entrance exam (DSH, TestDaF, Telc C1 HS) for university studies. Furthermore, the course participants will be advised on details about starting their studies, prospects for staying and careers in Germany, campus life and study organization, so that they are well prepared to begin their studies.
Module 1
Within Module 1 , the LSK is establishing a language offer in STEM degree programs in the form of language tutorials for German as a scientific language for international students as part of their subject learning groups. To this end, tutors from DaF or German studies students are trained to provide language support for learning groups in STEM degree programs (focus on scientific language, scientific communication).
Module 2
In Module 2 , the LSK offers modular, job-specific German language modules for the international target group in English-language STEM master's courses at level A2 and A2+. These are part of study-related, job-specific GFL language courses for students on English-language STEM Master's degree courses; the courses are offered during the lecture period and also as intensive courses during the semester break.
