Support University School Dresden

Around 900 pupils aged 6 to 18 are studying at the "School of the Future" on Cämmerswalder Straße since August 2025. The school continues to grow every year. In the 2027/28 school year, around 1,000 children and young people are expected to attend the university community school once it is fully expanded to Year 12.

University School Dresden e.V.

In Universitätsschule Dresden e.V., members of TU Dresden support the project from the initial idea to its foundation and now in everyday school life. The aim of the association is to provide the learning guides and children with ideal conditions for setting up the school experiment. The association has already gained important partners such as the Vodafone Foundation and the TÜV SÜD Foundation. Information on this can be found on the school website www.universitaetsschule.org.

Secure accompanying research #TUDForUS

Funding for the accompanying research has not been secured for 2026. On March 18, 2026 the Parents' Council sent an open letter on behalf of the school community to decision-makers in politics and administration with the question. "What's next for the Dresden University School trial?"

Online campaign #PixelDonations for a modern learning center

For various reasons, the conditions for ideal learning conditions are not currently in place. Research should also focus on the learning space as the "3rd pedagogue". When the planned new building was stopped by the city council in 2021, the school asked for support for a learning building for the university school. Over 2 million euros were raised within four weeks. In a new city council resolution, the start of construction is set for May 2026.

The Universitätsschule Dresden e.V. and the school community have launched the online campaign #PixelSpenden. By making a donation on the website, you could uncover pixel building blocks and take a look at the school of the future.
Clara, a pupil at Dresden University School, won the art competition "A look into the school of the future" with the resulting picture. Under the title "Simply round", she also shows her idea of the school of the future in the following video.
