At ZIS, you can study “International Relations” at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

International Relations is inherently interdisciplinary. We reflect this interdisciplinarity like no other—or hardly any other—program does. We combine academic expertise from three equally important disciplines—International Politics, International Law, and International Economics—and integrate them across disciplines.

Bachelor’s Program

The Bachelor’s program in “International Relations” is designed to last 6 semesters, or 3 years, and leads to the academic degree “Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)”.

Master’s Program

After completing your bachelor’s degree in International Relations or a related field, you can begin the master’s program at our university, which leads to the degree “Master of Arts (M.A.)”. The standard duration of study is 4 semesters, or 2 years.

Our Campus—Your Place to Study

TU Dresden is a campus university with its main campus in the Südvorstadt district of Dresden. This is where most of the buildings housing classes are located, as well as the library (SLUB), the university’s administrative buildings, several dining halls, and, of course, student housing.
