IHI students visualize Ecosystem Services in the Zittau Mountains

With the help of four students and employees of the Zittau Forestry Office, hikers in the Zittau Mountains can now easily find out that the topic of "Ecosystem Services", which is prominently represented at IHI Zittau, is by no means a scientific construct that is difficult to access, but rather clearly visible and tangible connections in our living environment: The idea was born out of a seminar to supplement an existing forest nature trail with information about the ecosystem services of the forest - hikers simply have to pull out their smartphones and access the information via a QR code. A nice "side effect": the IHI logo now makes our Institute visible in the Zittau region...
