ROBERT KNIPPSCHILD APPOINTED A MEMBER OF THE GERMAN ACADEMY FOR URBAN CONSTRUCTION AND LAND PLANNING
Prof. Dr. Robert Knippschild, who holds the joint professorship for Ecological and Revitalizing Urban Redevelopment at the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) and the IHI Zittau at TU Dresden, has been appointed a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL). The DASL is an association of experts who have made outstanding achievements in the fields of urban development and regional planning as well as the associated research and practical planning.
The aim of the DASL is to promote urban development and regional planning both in science and in practice. This is realized through scientific work and expert opinions, in lectures and at conferences on the problems of the spatial environment. Another important point is to make the findings available to the public. At the same time, the DASL offers a forum in which different groups in society and business circles interested in urban development can be brought together with planning experts for discussion.
Congratulations Prof. Dr. Robert Knippschild!
