Doctoral Tutorial International Management at Herrnhut
From July 28 to 30, we had the pleasure to invite to the inter-chair doctoral colloquium of the department "International Management" in the guest and conference house Komenský in Herrnhut.
The focus of this traditional meeting between the chairs of Prof. Dr. Stefan Eckert (IHI Zittau), Prof. Dr. Joachim Wolf (CAU Kiel), Prof. Dr. Stefan Schmid (ESCP Berlin), Prof. Dr. Tobias Dauth (HHL Leipzig) and Prof. Dr. Michael Oesterle (University of Stuttgart) is the presentation of dissertation projects and research contributions of the doctoral students of the respective chairs. After the welcome by Rector Prof. Dr. Thorsten Claus and the organizer Prof. Dr. Stefan Eckert, the doctoral students provided insights into many interesting research projects and constructive feedback was exchanged among the participants.
Cultural content was also on the agenda of our colloquium. During a guided tour through the Herrnhut Star Manufactory we got an exciting insight into the history of the traditional company. Oliver Tettenborn was kind enough to take us to the "Gottesacker" (God's Acre) and gave a lecture on the historical significance of the Moravian Church in Herrnhut. The cultural program was completed by a cozy barbecue evening and informal conversations around the campfire. We are already looking forward to the colloquium in 2022, which will then be hosted by the University of Stuttgart.
At this point, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the administration of the IHI Zittau, which supported us excellently in the organization and handling of this colloquium.
