Dr. Kapteina at the Writing Retreat and the Launch of the Doctoral Academy by WZGE
The five-day Writing Retreat by WZGE was a significant highlight of the kick-off week for the new Doctoral Academy "Business and Leadership Ethics". 20 dedicated PhD students and postdocs from across Europe focused intensively on their research and built valuable networks. Dr. Benedikt Kapteina, a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Business Administration, specializing in Responsible Management at IHI Zittau, was also present and participated in this productive phase of academic exchange.
On November 28, the official closing ceremony took place, where four doctoral students from the successful program „Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business“ were bid farewell, and the new Doctoral Academy "Business and Leadership Ethics" was officially welcomed. The ceremony was enriched by an inspiring keynote by Dr. Alexander Noßmann (Boston Consulting Group) on “Ethics in Management Consulting: Vital Compass or Elusive Ideal?” and a lively panel discussion with Prof. Ingo Pies (MLU Halle-Wittenberg) and Prof. Andreas Suchanek (HHL Leipzig).
"It was inspiring to see how the new Doctoral Academy provides a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and the advancement of leadership ethics," said Dr. Kapteina.
The WZGE (Center for Business and Leadership Ethics) has been committed since 1998 as a non-profit think tank for practice-oriented business, corporate, and leadership ethics. The offerings are aimed at leaders, emerging leaders, students, doctoral candidates, as well as companies and organizations.
A heartfelt thank you to the Karl Schlecht Foundation and everyone who made the successful Writing Retreat and the launch of the new Doctoral Academy possible!
