Impuls by Lasse Osteneck: How Companies Promote Democracy

In an engaging practical session, Lasse Osteneck, formerly Strategic Planning & Executive Communications Specialist at Volkswagen AG and now Head of Culture & Transformation at EEW Energy from Waste GmbH, shared with the students of the International Business Ethics module at IHI how companies can actively contribute to promoting democracy.

Osteneck, who is also active in the Business Council for Democracy, provided valuable insights from corporate practice and demonstrated how companies can support the social participation of young people in democratic processes through targeted activities. His examples of grassroots movements within companies, which can drive various democracy-promoting initiatives, were particularly impressive.

The students received valuable impulses and inspiration on how companies can play a key role in strengthening democracy in today’s society.
