Michael Aßländer visiting the Centre for Unframed Thinking at Rennes School of Business

As a Senior Research Fellow of the Center for Unframed Thinking (CUT), Michael Aßländer had a research stay at the Rennes School of Business in France from 21 April to 7 May 2023. The CUT's objective is to promote interdisciplinary and international research and to facilitate the exchange of ideas among international scholars. The third CUT symposium, attended by scholars from three continents, was themed "Rising from the Ashes? Visions and Delusions (of and about the future): Leading, Managing, Acting, and Organising in uncertain and challenging times" and took place in Rennes as well as in Paris. Topics ranged from (Marxist) economic critique to social entrepreneurship and new approaches to management and leadership theory. During the symposium, Michael Aßländer gave a talk titled "The Visions of Enlightenment – and the Delusions of Economic Reality".
