Dissertation
Our professorship offers dedicated (internal and external) early-career researchers the opportunity to pursue a doctorate in the field of responsible management. If you are interested in undertaking a PhD at our chair, we invite you to get in touch with a potential supervisor from our team at an early stage.
The thematic orientation of your dissertation may either be based on a well-developed independent proposal or be jointly developed with us in line with our current research areas. Our research addresses core questions of contemporary corporate responsibility, with a particular focus on strategic sustainability management, responsible leadership, digital, societal and economic transformation, global value chains, and corporate contributions to the protection of human rights.
A particular focus of our work lies in examining the political role of business in liberal democracies and its contribution to strengthening societal resilience in times of multiple global crises.
If you would like to engage in in-depth academic work on any of the above topics, we would be pleased to arrange an initial conversation with you. Please contact us via email in the first instance.
Please note: Doctoral candidates are responsible for independently securing supervision from both a first and a second academic advisor. We therefore recommend contacting us early to jointly plan the next steps in a structured and coordinated manner.
