Termination of enrolment
General information regarding the removal from the register of students:
If you successfully complete your studies at TU Dresden, you will automatically be exmatriculated at the end of the semester.
If you wish to terminate or discontinue your studies before then, you must withdraw from your studies by sending or submitting an withdrawal form (which can be found under [Oganization of Studies] and [Application Overview] on the Student Portal) for de-registration. Please print out the application, sign it by hand and submit the original to IHI Zittau, Student office and online.
At the same time, a confirmation from the University Library of the Zittau / Görlitz University of Applied Sciences must be submitted that you no longer have any liabilities.
The certificate of exmatriculation and the certificate required to prove your studies for pension insurance purposes will be made available for you to download from the Selma portal after processing. You can apply for a (proportionate) refund for your semester ticket at the student council.
When specifying the date of your exmatriculation, please note the following:
- It is not possible to apply to exmatriculate retroactively.
- When changing university, it is advisable to exmatriculate at the end of the semester you are currently in so that for insurance purposes, a smooth transition to the next university can be ensured.
Receipt of closure documents
As soon as your closure documents have been processed, you will receive an examination report by mail. Please double-check your address in the student portal.
You can pick up your master's certificate from us during office hours. If you would like to have the documents sent to you, please send us a sufficiently stamped and addressed B4 mailing envelope (with a German stamp!).
