Biodiversity Management and Sustainability
Learning Objectives
Students understand the importance of biodiversity for sustainable development as well as the interactions between biodiversity and businesses. They are familiar with various frameworks and standards for sustainability reporting and can critically evaluate them in relation to biodiversity using corporate reports as examples. Students are familiar with the fundamentals of scientific research as well as qualitative methods for evaluating corporate reports and reporting standards.

- Interactions between businesses, biodiversity, and ecosystem services
- Reporting frameworks and standards
- GRI principles of reporting quality
- Case studies from the “Biodiversity in Good Company” initiative
- Qualitative methods, particularly case studies and content analysis
