Learning Objectives
Students will become familiar with advanced concepts in modern finance theory as well as with the fundamental concepts and modeling techniques of recent approaches in information and behavioral economics. They will be able to familiarize themselves with relevant models, understand them, and interpret them. Students are able to analyze financial economics problems using these models and approaches and, on this basis, formulate recommendations for action.
Course Content
a) In-depth aspects of modern, neoclassical finance theory, including extensions of well-known models
b) Fundamentals and selected models of information-based finance theory; asymmetric information and principal-agent problems
c) Fundamentals and selected approaches of behavioral finance theory.
