Module Description
Qualification Goals:
Students know the importance and impact of the use of natural resources on the economy, politics, society, and the environment. They know the basic concept of environmentally oriented corporate management and can explain and apply different approaches of corporate resource management. The students know the basics of scientific work and an overview of qualitative and quantitative research designs.
Contents:
- International and national strategies for the use of natural resources
- Economic, political, and social consequences of natural resource deposits
- Impacts of natural resource use on climate and biodiversity
- Concepts of environmentally oriented corporate management and approaches to corporate resource management
- Resource management of water, agricultural, energy, and mineral resources
- Basics of scientific work
- Basics of qualitative and quantitative research designs, especially interviews, questionnaires, content analysis
