The Chair introduces itself

Power electronics enables the conversion and regulation of electrical energy with low losses. Power electronics is therefore indispensable in numerous areas such as industry, energy, transportation, medicine and communication. The increase in energy efficiency required to protect the climate and the worldwide expansion of the use of regenerative energy sources mean that the importance of power electronics will continue to grow rapidly.
The Chair of Power Electronics combines research and teaching, creates innovations and transfers these into industrial practice.
