Basics in circuit design, e.g. lecture "Schaltungstechnik"
- Transistors: Characteristics, small- and large signal equations
- Concept of small- and large signal analysis
- Basic topologies (common source/emitter, gate/base, drain/collector stages und cascode)

If those topics are new to you, we strongly recommend self-study, e.g. using literature (U. Tietze, C. Schenk, E. Gamm: Electronic Circuits: Handbook for Design and Application, Springer)

Prior Knowledge

Basic prior knowledge in electrical engineering
Basic prior knowledge in circuit design, e.g.:
- Transistors: basic behaviour, simple DC and AC modelling and IV curves
- Concept of small signal and large signal characteristics
- Basic topologies (common source/emitter, gate/base, drain/collector stages and cascode amplifier)
Basic knowledge is fully covered by "Schaltungstechnik" lecture at TUD

If these topics are new for you, please study them in advance, e.g. by recommended literature (German or English version): U. Tietze, C. Schenk, E.Gamm: Electronic Circuits: Handbook for Design and Application, Springer.
